I’m not sure exactly what I want to say but all I know is I have all of these thoughts and emotions that are way too long for Facebook posts or Instagram posts anymore. I’m not sure who will read this but it is freeing to write down emotions and thoughts.
Before I dive into a tough topic, give yourself a hug.
GIVE YOURSELF A HUG.
Have you ever lost yourself? Have you ever woke up one day and didn’t want to get out of bed? Have you ever questioned your self worth? Have you ever wondered why you’re alive?
I know I know. This is deep.
But, I’ve done all of these things. If you have to, then sis… we’re in this together.
I used to feel embarrassed about feeling this way because I am seen as a role model.
“Kris, you’re goals.”
“Kris, how are always so positive?”
”Kris, you’re so strong”
Side note: My heart is racing typing this.
You see, NO ONE…. and I mean NO ONE. Is goals. I truly believe everyone at some point in their lives, loses themselves on SOME LEVEL.
I wasn’t willing to let anyone in and I truly felt as if I had a MASK on and playing a character every day.
I can’t tell you how exhausting that was. I would be on HIGH energy, smiles all around, everything is AWESOME, kind of kick for most of my day- EVERYDAY. I didn’t have an off button, so when things fell apart, they FELL HARD.
But why did I feel this way?
If I were to dive into the circumstances, this would be way to long for a blog post! That is soon to come!
The point is I felt this because I didn’t know how to control my thoughts, my emotions, my feelings. I didn’t know the power I could have over my mindset. I didn’t know how to balance my energy and find peace in down time.
What did I do to overcome this?
I read books. (The power of your attitude)
I listened to podcasts. (Jay Shetty)
I mimicked habits of my mentors (Rachel Hollis)
p.s. she has no idea who I am but you don’t have to personally know your mentors.
I literally decided to stand up for my self and my well being.
“Kris, In this moment- take control of your emotions”
“Kris, In this moment- take control of your breathing”
“Kris, In this moment- take control of your actions”
….and so I did.
Now, every time I’m struggling, I repeat that to myself and find my balance.
This is a practice ANYONE can do.
take a deep breathe (in through your nose, out through your mouth)
open your hands and welcome this message.
close your eyes…… (please)
State your name before every phrase.
NAME, In this moment, take control of your emotions.
NAME, In this moment, take control of your breathing.
NAME, In this moment, take control of your actions.
Take a deep breathe.. and do it again.
but… say louder, from your core, and BELIEVE IF. MANIFEST IT.
We are a product of our thoughts.
We are a product of actions.
If you lose yourself, you’re not alone.
Take back control of your life.
I did and so can you.
Give yourself a hug.
Seriously, DO IT.
Now, go be great.
